The Council’s Statement of Principles for Gambling (also known as the Gambling Policy) expired on 31 December 2021. The Gambling Act 2005 (the Act) requires the Licensing Authority to prepare and publish a new three year Statement of Licensing Principles which is due to be effective from the 31 December 2021.

The Licensing Service already has an approved Licensing Enforcement Policy in compliance with the Enforcement Concordat which provides details of the enforcement systems in place. The policy needs some minor amendments to reflect the Shared Licensing Service (SLS) now provides.
