Aims & Objectives
· We exist to provide a telephone support and face-to-face counselling service to anyone over the age of 16 years who has been raped, sexually abused or sexually assaulted at any time in their lives.
· We provide telephone support to parents of sexually abused children, partners, families, friends and workers from other agencies who are supporting survivors of rape and/or sexual abuse.
· We provide trained volunteers and counsellors who are aware of issues that may arise from rape and sexual abuse and will offer emotional support in a non-judgmental way.
· We also:
o Provide information about what happens at a medical examination, a Police station or in court.
o Provide information about testing for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV or pregnancy following a rape.
